Our maintenance staff is hard at work this summer! On Thursday they built a fence near Central Middle School where two new chicken coops have been installed. The fence will separate the coops from the garden area, allowing the chickens to be free range. #LawtonPS #WeAreLPS #oklaed

Progress has started on the visitors side of the Lawton High Stadium as we get ready for the upcoming fall sports seasons. Visiting bleachers will soon be installed at all three LPS high schools to allow even more spectators at our home fields. #LawtonPS #WeAreLPS #oklaed

Pre-K through second grade students at Adventure Academy Camp at Cleveland Elementary School tie-dyed T-shirts on Monday to wear the last day of summer camp, which will be Thursday. Older students participated in the same activity at Makerspace Summer Camp at the Life Ready Center. Both camps will hold showcases on Thursday to show family members what the students have done this summer. Our Project AWARE Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHPs) participated in a Community Mental Health Resource Fair held at the Lawton Resource Center (LRC). During the event, the team promoted the mental health services available to LPS students and families. They also provided information about the broader role of Project AWARE within LPS, highlighting their involvement in supporting student mental wellness, partnering with school staff, and providing direct services in school buildings. Check out the progress on the new pig barn as employees of Lupi Construction pour the cement pad on Monday morning.
