Local gardeners will be able to stock their flower beds with plants grown by Lawton Public Schools FFA students.
The annual Lawton FFA Plant Sale will be held from 3-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lawton Public Schools school farm, 1903 W. Lee, or until all the plants are sold.
Colby Turner, Farm-to-Table teacher at MacArthur Middle School, said his students have grown the 2,000 plants in the school’s newly refurbished greenhouse. The plants were started Jan. 5 and are ready for the big sale.
Varieties include coneflowers, coreopsis, geraniums, impatiens, daisies, petunias, vinca, foxtail ferns and rose moss.
Prices range from $2-5; cash and checks will be accepted. Proceeds from the sale will go to the FFA program.
