Two Lawton Public Middle Schools will have new principals for the start of the 2025 - 2026 school year. The moves were approved by the Board of Education earlier this week.
Odell Gunter Jr., long-time teacher and dean of students at MacArthur High School, will become head principal at Eisenhower Middle School. Gunter joined the district in 2006 as a teacher and was named dean of students in 2022. Gunter will replace Kallan Glasgow, who has been named principal of Eisenhower High School.
Juliane Hardeman, who has been an assistant principal at Central Middle School since 2021, will become head principal of that school in August. Hardeman began her career with LPS in 2005 as a teacher; she served as a counselor at LHS from 2013 - 2021.
Hardeman will replace Skeeter Sampler, who has been CMS principal since 2023. Sampler is taking a position at Shoemaker Education Center.
The changes will be effective July 1.
